Gray Sea Salt

Unrefined sel gris from the Guérande marshes, in coarse and fine grind.

Sold in America as French grey sea salt, French gray sea salt or Celtic sea salt — all the same hand-harvested grey Atlantic salt, named differently by different sellers. The colour comes from the clay floor of the marsh, which is also where the trace minerals come from.

It is packed naturally moist, exactly as it leaves the pans. For a salt grinder, choose the dried grade instead.
